Windows ME

Windows MECodenamed Millennium,
Windows ME or just ME is short for Windows Millennium and
is an operating system released by Microsoft on June 19, 2000

Microsoft Windows operating system originally released as Microsoft Windows NT 3.1
that had a similar interface to Windows 3.1x with advanced networking capabilities
and hardware support. In August 1996
Microsoft released Windows NT 4.0 with an interface similar to Windows 95.

Windows PE

Short for Windows Preinstall Environment, WinPE or Windows PE is a limited
Win32 or Win64 operating system that helps boot a computer with no operating system.
Windows PE gives the computer NTFS file system, network, script, and 32-bit or 64-bit driver support.
 A bootable Windows PE drive or disc can be created by downloading and installing the Windows AIK (WAIK).

The Windows Registry :

contain's information, settings, options, and other values for all versions of Microsoft
Windows Operating Systems and programs and hardware installed in Windows.

Windows RT or WinRT

 is a new operating system intended to be used on devices
with ARM processors, like tablets. It is only capable of running software
from the Microsoft Store, as well as any software that is bundled and installed
with Windows RT initially.

Windows Store

The Windows Store or Store is a feature introduced with Windows
 8 that allows users to find, buy, and sell their Apps for Microsoft Windows 8.
The store supports both free and paid applications,
with the paid applications ranging in prices between $1.49 to $999.99.

Windows theme

A Windows Theme is a set of computer desktop icons, mouse cursor(s),
and desktop backgrounds that can be used in place of the standard Windows icons,
 mouse cursor, and desktop background.  It can include new icons for My Computer,
My Documents, My Network Place, Recycle Bin, and other standard Windows programs.


Windows 7

Codenamed Vienna and Blackcomb,
Windows 7 is the successor to Windows Vista that was officially released to the public October 22, 2009.

Windows 8

Windows 8, codenamed Midori is a version of Microsoft
Windows released October 26, 2012 and is one of the biggest changes
Microsoft has made to their operating system since Windows 95.
 It features some new programming and technology to allow it to run quicker
and provide a better look and feel to users. It is not only for desktop and
 laptop computers, but is also available for tablet computers.
Windows 8 includes a tablet interface, called Metro,
which is compatible with touch-screen displays,
 like those on a tablet computer.


Windows 95

Microsoft Corp in August 1995 and is one of the biggest releases of Windows ever.
 Windows 95 offered a completely new environment when compared to
Windows 3.11 with its new Start button and Desktop.

Win9x

Win9x is an abbreviation used to describe
 Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows 98,
the x represents a wildcard that can represent either the 5 or 8.

Windows XP

Windows XPOften abbreviated as XP, Microsoft Windows XP was codenamed Whistler and is short for Windows eXPerience.
Windows XP is an operating system that was first released on October 25, 2001 and designed to bridge the gap between Windows 9x/ME and Windows NT/2000
users and is an available upgrade for Windows 98, ME, and 2000 users.
The two primary versions of Windows XP are Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional.
